    Production Process:

    (1) Raw Material Preparation

    Metal Wire Selection: Low carbon steel wire, galvanized steel wire, PVC-coated steel wire, or stainless steel wire.

    Wire Diameter Range: Typically 0.5 mm to 4.0 mm, adjusted based on application.

    Surface Treatment: Galvanizing (electro-galvanized or hot-dip galvanized), PVC coating, or other anti-corrosion treatments are applied either before or after weaving.

    (2) Weaving Process

    Pay-Off: Metal wires are fed from pay-off racks into the weaving machine.

    Twisting and Forming:

    Uses double-twisting weaving machines (double twist) or triple-twisting weaving machines (triple twist), where wires are twisted into a hexagonal pattern.

    Mesh shape is controlled by gear molds; common mesh sizes range from 10 mm to 100 mm.

    Mesh width is controlled during weaving by adjusting the machine, usually between 1 m and 4 m wide.

    Rolling: Finished mesh is automatically rolled into bundles.

    (3) Post-Processing

    Edge Treatment: Edges are reinforced by folding (selvedge edge) or twisting (twisted edge) to enhance structural stability.

    Cutting: Mesh is cut into sheets or rolls according to customer requirements.

    Packaging: Wrapped with moisture-proof paper or PE film to prevent damage during transportation.

    (4) Performance Testing

    Mechanical Properties:

    Tensile Strength: Samples undergo tensile tests (e.g., GB/T 228.1) to meet material standards (e.g., low carbon steel wire ≥350 MPa).

    Elongation: Elongation at break typically ≥12%.

    Corrosion Resistance:

    Salt Spray Test (ASTM B117):

    Galvanized mesh: No red rust for 72 hours, no base metal rust for 480 hours.

    PVC-coated mesh: No bubbling or peeling for 1000 hours.

    Outdoor Exposure Test: Long-term aging observation under real environmental conditions.

    Functional Testing:

    Permeability (for hydraulic projects): Simulate water flow impact to check for mesh blockage or deformation.

    Load Capacity (gabion mesh): Stability test after filling with stones.
